Find the right engagement ring size in India from finger circumference or an existing ring diameter, with Indian sizes 1โ26 and easy US, UK, EU & Japan conversions.
An Engagement Ring Size Calculator India helps you convert a finger measurement or the inner diameter of an existing ring into the closest Indian ring size. It is especially useful when you are ordering a solitaire, halo, diamond, gold or platinum engagement ring online and need a reliable size before checkout.
Indian ring sizing commonly uses numbered sizes, and the calculator below compares your measurement with the same size data used in our Indian ring size chart. You can enter circumference in millimetres, diameter in millimetres, or either measurement in inches. The result also makes it easier to compare sizes when a jeweller lists a US, UK, EU or Japan size instead of an Indian size.
For engagement rings, fit matters even more because a raised centre stone can make a loose ring rotate on the finger. Measure at a normal room temperature, repeat the measurement at least three times, and pay attention to band width and knuckle size. If you are choosing a diamond ring, you can also review independent diamond education from the GIA diamond buying guide before purchasing.

A correctly sized engagement ring should feel secure without squeezing the finger. It should slide over the knuckle with light resistance, sit comfortably at the base of the finger, and need a small twist to remove. Because engagement rings often carry a raised centre stone, an overly loose fit can cause the setting to rotate toward the palm.
The ring must pass the knuckle without force. If your knuckle is much wider than the base of the finger, choose a size that clears it safely while remaining secure below.
A little movement is normal, but a solitaire that constantly spins usually indicates the ring is loose, the setting is top-heavy, or both.
Your finger size changes with heat, exercise, hydration and time of day. The best fit allows for normal daily changes without leaving a deep indentation.
If the engagement ring will later be worn with a wedding band, ask whether the two bands sit flush. Stacking can change how tight the rings feel together.
For a surprise proposal, the best method is to measure a ring your partner already wears on the same finger and same hand. Place it on a flat surface and measure the inside opening straight across from inner edge to inner edge. Enter that diameter in the calculator above.
Top-heavy settings can rotate if loose. Aim for a secure fit with slight resistance at the knuckle.
A larger top profile may make rotation more noticeable, so accurate sizing is especially important.
Confirm resizing limits before purchase because stones around the shank can restrict later adjustments.
Wider bands contact more skin and often feel tighter than a thin measuring ring of the same nominal size.
These designs can be difficult to resize. Precise sizing before ordering is particularly important.
Two rings worn together may feel snugger than one ring alone; discuss the final stack with the jeweller.
Many engagement rings can be resized after purchase, but the safe adjustment depends on the metal, setting, stone placement and how far the size must move. Plain gold or platinum shanks are generally easier for a skilled jeweller to adjust than full-eternity, tension-set or highly detailed bands.
Before paying a deposit, ask the seller whether resizing is included, how many sizes the exact design can move, whether engraving affects the service, and whether resizing changes the warranty. For precious-metal jewellery in India, buyers can also learn about hallmarking through the Bureau of Indian Standards hallmarking overview.
If you are between two calculator results, do not automatically choose the larger or smaller size for every design. Use the measurement as your starting point, then consider the knuckle, band width, setting weight and the jewellerโs own sizing system.
Use finger circumference if measuring with paper/string, or inner diameter if measuring a well-fitting existing ring.
Millimetres make small ring-size differences easier to capture. The calculator also accepts inches if that is the scale available to you.
Enter the measurement, select its type, and press the button. The result returns the nearest Indian size with diameter and circumference details.
Compare the result with the jewellerโs own size guide, especially for custom, imported, wide-band or non-resizable engagement rings.
