Convert US, UK, EU/ISO and Japanese ring sizes to the nearest Indian ring size instantly โ with diameter, circumference and fit guidance in one tool.
An international to Indian ring size converter translates a ring size from another countryโs sizing system into the closest Indian ring size. This is useful when a ring is listed in US sizes, UK letters, European circumference sizes or Japanese numbers, but you need to order from an Indian jeweller or compare the result with an Indian ring size chart.
The important point is that the printed size label itself is not universal. A US size 7, a UK size Nยฝ, an EU size around 54โ55 and an Indian size in the mid-teens can describe broadly similar physical ring openings even though the labels look completely different. The safest way to connect these systems is through the ringโs inner diameter or inner circumference in millimetres.
This page makes that process immediate. Choose the international system, enter or select your known size, and the tool finds the closest Indian size from 1 to 26. If you do not know any international size yet, use our Find My Ring Size India tool or finger size measurement guide first.
Select your current sizing system, enter the size, and get the closest Indian match.
Choose US/Canada, UK/Australia, EU/ISO or Japan. Use the system printed on the original size chart or product listing instead of guessing from the number alone.
US and EU sizes can be typed directly. UK sizes use a letter selector, while Japanese sizes use their numeric scale.
The tool translates the source size to an approximate internal circumference in millimetres. This physical measurement is more useful than comparing country-specific labels directly.
The calculated circumference is compared with Indian sizes 1โ26 and the closest practical size is returned along with diameter and equivalent international references.
If you are between sizes, buying a wide band, or ordering a ring that cannot easily be resized, use the millimetre measurement and confirm it against the sellerโs own sizing policy.

Conversions are nearest-size references. International systems use different increments and rounding conventions, so the millimetre diameter/circumference should be treated as the strongest comparison point when two charts disagree.
US and Canadian ring sizes use numbers with half and quarter increments. Because the US number is not the same as an Indian number, this converter first estimates the ringโs physical circumference and then selects the nearest Indian size. This is especially useful when shopping from American jewellery websites.
UK and Australian sizes are commonly expressed as letters, often with half sizes such as Mยฝ or Qยฝ. The converter links those letter sizes to circumference measurements, then returns the nearest Indian number. Never type a UK letter as though it were an Indian number.
European sizing is particularly conversion-friendly because many EU charts are closely related to the ringโs inner circumference in millimetres. An EU size around 54 therefore points to a ring with an internal circumference around 54 mm, which can be matched to an Indian size.
Japan uses a separate numeric sequence. The number may sometimes look close to an Indian size, but it should still be converted through measurement because the scales do not remain perfectly aligned across the full range.
Conversion works best when your existing international ring size is recent, accurate and belongs to the same finger on the same hand. If you only remember that you once wore โabout a US 7โ several years ago, a fresh measurement is more reliable than converting an uncertain starting value.
Place a ruler or digital caliper across the inside opening and measure the inner diameter in millimetres. Do not measure the outside edge of the metal. You can then compare the diameter with the Indian chart or enter the measurement in the instant Indian ring size checker.
Wrap a narrow strip of paper or non-stretch string around the base of the finger, mark the overlap and measure the length in millimetres. Repeat this at least two or three times. For a detailed process, use our Finger Size Measurement Tool India.
Country labels are convenient, but diameter and circumference are physical measurements. If one website says your size is US 7 while another chart suggests US 7.25, compare their millimetre values. The result closest to your actual finger or ring measurement is more meaningful than the printed label.
A US size 8 is not automatically Indian size 8. The two systems use different scales. Treat the country system as part of the size label at all times.
US and UK systems often use increments between whole sizes. Rounding too early can move the final Indian result by a full size, especially near a boundary.
Ring size is based on the inside opening. Measuring from the outside edges includes the metal thickness and makes the ring appear much larger than it really is.
Two brands can label a very similar ring slightly differently because of rounding, manufacturing tolerances or the way their conversion chart is built. Always compare millimetres when available.
A conversion table describes size, not how a particular ring profile feels. A broad wedding band can feel tighter than a thin engagement ring at the same nominal size.
If you are buying from an Indian jeweller after previously shopping in the US, UK, Europe or Japan, convert your known size first and then compare the result with the jewellerโs own chart. Indian retailers may show whole Indian sizes, international sizes, or both depending on the product.
For online shopping, save three values together: your Indian size, inner diameter in mm and inner circumference in mm. Those measurements make it easier to verify a product listing even when the website uses a different country system.
If the purchase is high-value, custom-made or difficult to resize, professional sizing is worth the extra step. Our complete Ring Size Chart India gives the full Indian measurement reference, while the India Ring Size Converter can help when you need conversions in the opposite direction as well.
